What happens when you first open the app?
The first thing you'll do is meet Mina. She introduces herself in about 30 seconds and covers the basics:
- What she does. Creates, edits and issues quotes. Manages client details. Answers product questions. Issues invoices.
- How to talk to her. Tap the microphone on the home screen whenever you want to chat.
- Where your tasks live. Draft quotes and reminders sit in the in-tray at the bottom of the screen.
- Where everything else is. Quick quote forms, existing quotes, clients and settings are all in the main menu.
That's it. No 15-step setup wizard. No video tutorial you have to sit through. Mina talks, you listen, you're across it.
How does the quote setup work?
Mina then walks you through how quoting works. This takes about a minute and a half.
She starts by showing you how a quote is structured. Every quote has three cards:
- Materials - itemised costs for the AC system, piping, mounting, sundries
- Labour - technician hours and rates
- Net Profit - your margin, calculated automatically
Then she tailors the app to your business:
- Pick your preferred brand. ActronAir, Daikin, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, or type in your own.
- Set your supplier discount. Mina shows you the retail price for a unit and lets you slide to your actual cost price. If you get 35% off Daikin, set it to 35%. Done.
- Set discounts for other brands. She asks if you want to configure pricing for the rest of your brands while you're there. Every brand you set up is ready to go next time you quote.
By the end of this step, your quotes will automatically pull in the right pricing for the machines and suppliers you actually use.
How do your business details get loaded?
This is where it gets good. Instead of making you type in your ABN, licence number, payment terms, terms of trade, and logo one field at a time, Mina pulls them from a quote or invoice you've already sent.
Upload your last quote or invoice, and TRAiDMIN scrapes the details it needs: your ABN, your logo, your trading terms, your payment terms, your licence number. It sets up your letterhead so every quote you send looks professional and consistent from day one.
